The Motorists' Guide to Appealing Parking, Bus Lane, Yellow Box Junction and Moving Traffic Tickets

One law for them.....

We are told that the reason we have such extortionate penalties and rigorous enforcement of parking is to keep the roads clear and for safety. For example these councils say......

Newham - "..to benefit residents, businesses and visitors to the borough, by easing congestion and helping the flow of traffic."

Waltham Forest - "The CCTV enforcement vehicles are responsible for recording moving traffic violations, such as stopping in box junctions, driving in bus lanes and making banned turns. They are also used for parking enforcement purposes like footway parking, yellow lines and outside schools on the 'keep clear' markings, this is to ensure the safety of children"

Yet strangely these reasons seem to go out the window when it comes to  council owned vehicles. Surely it couldn't be anything to do with the ££ they're making could it!? Do you have any similar pictures from your area? If so lets name and shame them! Send them into ticketfighter@yahoo.co.uk

Thanks to "Jay" for this pic of a Camden CCTV car blocking a lane of traffic in Calthorpe Street whilst parked on a single yellow line during the day.

Thanks to David Morgan for these shots of smiling Newham CCTV Parking Attendants parked illegally on double yellow lines and blocking a lane of traffic in the process

And below from Jawied for this disguised cctv car parked all day on double yellow lines with two kerb blips again in Newham.

Thanks to Fred Ricketts for these images of Southwark enforcement officers parked in a car club bay! Laughing and eating lunch.

Below we have a "community safety vehicle" operated for Waltham Forest Council. Illegally parked, half on a yellow line during the day, half on a narrow footway blocking access for prams. Check out the James Bond spec from the manufacturer. Now what would you expect this high tech device to be used for? Violent crime, terrorism? Well it's operated by NCP for parking and traffic enforcement. Hmm not sure how that helps the "safety of children"!

Here we have another Waltham Forest smart car, this time blocking a cycle lane near Blackhorse Road station during PM peak rush hour. Hmm not sure how that helps the "safety of children"! And this is to catch people doing a banned left turn, and there is no logical reason why it is banned anyway.

Thanks to Daniel Carver for this picture of another Waltham Forest warden parking their car on a single yellow line to issue a ticket for the same offence.
